Steve began working in the real estate industry at Family Real Estate Service, Inc. in 1980 as a rental assistant. He was licensed as a Real Estate Sales Associate in 1984 and took over the Property Management Department of Family Real Estate. In 1988 Steve received his Real Estate Broker's License and worked in the "family business" as an associate broker working for many years in both sales and rental management. Eventually Steve took on the task of Managing Broker and began running the operation full time. Now Steve is the Designated Broker with the full responsibility of the real estate brokerage.

Steve graduated with a Bachelor's in Business Administration in 1988 from Pacific Lutheran University with an emphasis in Management Information Systems.

Being a life-long resident of Tacoma, Steve has an excellent knowledge of the real estate history and practices in the area. Steve is personally involved in his transactions from start to finish -- helping his clients make some of the biggest investment decisions they will ever face. He especially loves to work with first time home buyers and will often spend hours educating his clients so that they can make informed decisions at every step of the real estate ownership process.

Steve also keeps busy in the community. He has served as president of the Jaycees, president and other offices of the Optimist Club, and several positions of leadership in Pierce County Radio Watch. Steve has volunteered hundreds of hours in youth bowling and now is a co-director of a national youth bowling tournament and serves on the Washington State YABA board as an advisor and as webmaster.
